EPE Special Advisor publishes study on Green New Deal
The Greens and the European Free Alliance in the European Parliament recently published a study of the Wuppertal Institute which outlines a Green New Deal for Europe. Philipp Schepelmann special advisor the EPE Council presented the study on September 9 to about 40 MEPs and their staff during a retreat of The Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament. The study analyses recovery programs world-wide and their "green" components. Based on this analysis the authors discuss options of a short-term stimulation of European eco-industries aiming at a long-term modernization of the EU economy. Exemplary measures are proposed for a sustainable energy-, mobility- and resource policy. An online version of the study and summaries in English, French and German are available at:
